I am standing in a room.
A room full of doors.
Everyone know what they need to do when they get here.
Each door is a choice, a path; never a right answer, never a wrong decision, always an adventure.
Sometimes I can see the path others take, see how I would do it differently, but ultimately know I can't follow.
The path I choose must be my own; clear of conscious debate, advice and research. This path can only be lead by the heart.
Your heart will never lead you down the wrong path. It will take you on a journey so that you gain an experience that will change you, teach you and make you grow.
Lessons of life are tough; lessons of love are tougher.
But remember, it's always a lesson, never a mistake.

Rantings of an unsettled soul....

I've lost my way and I can't find my map....

I'm tired.....tired of being disappointed, let down and led astray....

I once told someone to be thankful for the people, places and things that inspire you to be more, to do more and make your life everything you want it to be. Appreciate your nouns, right?

Well, I need my nouns.....I lost them in the scramble....

All the small things...

Make it all worthwhile.

www.mylifeisaverage.com

Most of it is pretty average stuff, but every once in a while I come across one that makes me laugh out loud and then everyone stares at me.

Oh...so it's going to be one of THOSE weeks....

So it's been a while.....

I went to Edmonton last week to see a concert and some old friends. I don't normally go to many concerts; I hate the crowds and the noise, especially the noise from the crowds. Luckily, I had backstage access and didn't have to put up with the "regular" people. My friend is the lead singer and while it's amazing to see him perform, it's equally amazing to see his fans. These girls would rip the flesh from his bones if they were given the chance. I don't think I've ever loved someone the way these girls love him. Completely insane, totally awesome.

The whole trip was like going back in time about 10 years, except this time I'm not a student and I actually have money. This allows me to make impulse purchases like a new MacBook Pro simply because there's no PST in Alberta. It was nice to stay up all night and get into all sorts of mischief again. Refreshing....but totally exhausting. Ten years ago, any trouble we would get into could be attributed to our young rebellious nature. Now, I'm too old to run from the cops and really, we all should know better, right? I won't get into any details, just know that it was fun.

So that was last week.....

This week hasn't held a candle to last week. Work, work, work and no fun. We're having a Friends & Family sale at our warehouse and it is busy! And some of the people that come to these sales are amazingly unpleasant. The sale is full of crazy good deals and people just don't appreciate it. When ever there are good deals, there are jerks. I'd like to know how these jerks got on our mailing lists? Whose friend or family member are you? You want to know what my name is to make a complaint? I want to know what your name is so I can take you off the list.
Bah!

Is it Friday yet?

I Am Not a Photographer, I Just Have A Camera

I've had my camera for almost a year now....and it's taken me this long to really enjoy it. I'm a slow starter, I need to get very comfortable doing new things. For example, having this blog spot for 4 months before throwing together my first rambling.

I took this picture on the island at Thanksgiving. Creepy, right? I had to get right up to it to take such a great picture. I love how you can see the web it's dangling from. It was so full of eggs. At one point it was on it's back and couldn't turn over. Poor thing....but don't worry, I returned her to her web.

Being on the island made for some great shooting. Unfortunately my dog followed me everywhere and just barked every time I took too long or wasn't paying enough attention to him. I will post the other pictures at some point, but not here.

I like where this is going, but please remember, I'm not a photographer. I just have a camera and I like to use it. Being a photographer is too much pressure. =)
